Rose-coloured Glasses

I bet you thought, by the name of this blog, that it was going to be one dripping with positivity. Nah. I mean, that's not to say it's a negative blog. It's just that I like to keep things real. And let's face it, sometimes life can feel like a veritable suckfest.

The "rose-coloured" reference is about my name. As you probably have figured out by now because you're smart like that, the title of the blog is a play on words, being that my name is Rose and this is a blog about how I see things.

​

Now, why should you give a rat's hind part about how I see the world? I don't know. Maybe you don't. Why should you give a rat's hind part how anyone sees the world? I think we should all care about others' perspectives and experiences in order to make us better humans and, hopefully, avoid some of the pitfalls of selfish assholery.

​

Oh, one thing. You might have noticed, because  you're the observant type, that I used a swear word;a made up swear, but one, nonetheless. Be warned. I use them sometimes. I won't use them in every entry. Goodness knows, I don't want to disturb anyone's delicate constitution if swear words are offensive to their righteousness. There will be a little potty word notification by way of a little toilet icon before a post that contains swears or other sorts of potentially foul language; One for mildly foul,  two for "you eat with that mouth?" level of foul.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, Hi, my name is Rose Betit and I'm a writer. I write all kinds of things, from short stories, to poetry, to articles about real estate. I also recently finished my first novel. Maybe you'll read some of my goings on about my novel and my search for an agent.

I like to tell stories about my life and encounters on this planet. Almost every day, there's something interesting or semi-interesting to tell. I'm willing to bet a lot of my stories are relatable to a lot of you, you know, because you're that kind of empathetic.
